St. George

We had a wonderful weekend in St. George!  It is always so nice to visit Grandpa and Grandma Mac!  Nathan and Jamie enjoyed exploring thier yard, finding nuts, sand to play in, and buckets and barrells to make "soup" in.  Soup is a concoction of water, dirt and anything else they can find to add (sticks, rocks, toys, long-lost jewels).  Nathan was very affectionate with Grandma Mac which is quite unusual for him.  She loved it!  Dad had lots of fun outings planned for us.  We started with Snow Canyon!  Where else is the sky such a vivid blue color and the rocks so bright red?  The weather was perfect for hiking.  It was difficult to keep up with the kids.  They were ready to run free after being cooped up all winter.

We hiked the Petrified Dunes trail, visited the Pioneer Names Rock and had a picnic at the Sand Dunes.  We played in the sand for a couple of hours which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.

My sexy man in the sand!
Dad took Dave and  I to the The Bowl.  There were a few of them but this is the big one.  Since there was a bunch of water in the bottom we couldn't run in.  I still don't see how you can get out once you get down there.  It is pretty amazing.  Grandpa McAllister was pretty excited to see all of our pictures since the area is his old stomping grounds.
Dave and I also got to go through a session at the Temple.  What a busy place on a Saturday morning!  We even saw my cousin Jana there.
Uncle Russ and Aunt Nancy let us bunk out at thier house in Washington.  They were so hospitable.  Thanks!
